Misha Tsozik
Misha first became interested in holistic health care while working in a hospital as a certified pharmacy technician and studying biology and chemistry at the University of Louisville in an effort to prepare for a career in western medicine. At work, she noticed how often patients were readmitted to the hospital for various acute pathologies that stemmed from chronic conditions and symptoms that were treated with pharmaceuticals alone. She realized a need to address the healing process differently and sought out alternative methods of health care. Misha completed her training for her massage therapy license at Lexington Healing Arts Academy and believes that by manually working with the structure of the body as a whole, we can alleviate symptoms of chronic musculoskeletal conditions and often help the body correct acute conditions. She states that "By addressing the whole person, we can achieve balance." Misha is a Licensed Massage Therapy in the state of Kentucky and is also Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage.
Laurie LeCompte
Laurie started practicing yoga as cross-training and injury prevention for running. She found that yoga not only allowed her to run faster and longer, but also kept her joints and muscles healthy. After several years of practice in various styles of yoga, Laurie completed her 200-hour training in Ashtanga Vinyasa at Infinite Yoga in San Diego, California. She is also certified in pre-natal and post-natal yoga and has specialized training in restorative yoga, yoga for seniors and yoga as therapy. In addition to teaching yoga, Laurie has taught math, English, and German, coached rowing and cross country, and has a Master of Arts in German Studies. Through her extensive experience with all levels of students and athletes, she has finely tuned her communication and developed a highly adaptable teaching style. Laurie believes that yoga is for everyone. However, everyone's needs are different. Laurie finds a style or practice that fits her clients' health and fitness needs and helps her clients to maintain a sustainable practice. A "sustainable" practice is realistic, beneficial, and life-long. Laurie believes it is her job to create an environment in which her clients can succeed and a practice through which they can achieve long-term health and wellness.
